Akiles is a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Iraq living in Berlin since 2014. His premiere in Berlin was a 6-minute presentation of “The Parallel side of the Road” in Ada Studio – 2nd lab related to his research on spiritual contemporary dance. The full version of which was presented at the Sophiensaele Berlin during the Tanztage 2017. His last project was a further outlook of his research under the title of The Pain…The Pursuit… performed as part of the Weltoffenes Berlin fellowship program by Uferstudios. Akiles is now studying for his masters at the HFS university in the subject of Art Choreography. His debut was in Syria as a dancer performing part of local dance companies at the Damascus Opera House, the Roman amphitheater of Busra Asham/Syria, in addition to shows in Bahrain and Qatar. He worked on projects in collaboration with Uferstudios , Adastudios, Tanzfabrik Potsdam, Tanzzeit, Tanzkomplizen, Monsoon and Mondiale. His ongoing projects include his participation in the Nikitin Project 24 slots per second by Boris Nikitin.
